Chicken Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients:
- 200 g boneless chicken
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon mixed herbs
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 4 slices bread
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- ½ small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 small tomato, thinly sliced
- ½ small cucumber, thinly sliced
- A few lettuce leaves
- 2 cheese slices (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
- Marinate the chicken: Cut the chicken into small pieces or thin strips. Add ginger-garlic paste, black pepper, red chili powder, mixed herbs, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Cook the chicken: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 7–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is completely cooked and lightly browned. Allow it to cool slightly.
- Prepare the spread: Mix mayonnaise and tomato ketchup in a small bowl.
- Prepare the bread: Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Lightly toast the bread in a pan until golden and crisp.
- Assemble the sandwich: Spread the mayonnaise mixture over the toasted bread. Place lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onion on top.
- Add the chicken: Add the cooked chicken evenly over the vegetables. Place a cheese slice on top if using.
- Close the sandwich: Cover with another slice of bread and gently press the sandwich together.
- Toast again: If you prefer a warm, crispy sandwich, place the assembled sandwich in a sandwich maker or pan and toast until golden on both sides.
- Serve: Cut the sandwich into halves or triangles and serve immediately.
